The next hour was a blur of mopping, dusting, window cleaning, sweeping, bathroom bleaching, surface polishing, sheet washing and drying. At the end of the hour, a bin liner was full of the cleaning products Lane and Casey had run through. Lane lobbed it outside to take it to somewhere proper later and she turned back from the doorway, taking a look at the caravan, post cleaning montage. Casey was right. It looked quite different. The décor was outdated but still, it felt clean and inviting.

‘I’m starving’ Casey said as she pulled off two rubber gloves. ‘Can we go and find some food?’
